Recently Maura confessed to feeling like Jane’s “dirty little secret” because she didn’t want anyone in her family or at work to know about them. One day Jane finally works up the nerve to do something about it, and rather than just prance around BPD with a basket of rose petals singing her love for Maura aloud (something she had sarcastically suggested doing)-
She catches Maura on her way to the elevator one morning, gives her a kiss, and loops her arm through the doctor’s to walk her down to the morgue. Everybody smiles their support (especially that… one… guy..) as Maura looks at Jane in thrilled surprise. Jane just makes a face and grins back at her, as if to joke, “and you thought that would be a big deal.”
